Strategically located within the square mile of London City, this former 1970s office block has been transformed to deliver a 342-bedroom Hotel as part of Canopy by Hilton, the first of its kind in the UK.
The development for the site at 15-16 Minories, has seen the construction of a new 11-storey RC extension and an additional floor. Beneath the hotel lies a vast two-storey basement, housing the MEP energy centre, gymnasium, staff areas and office accommodation. This existing development is a key milestone, rejuvenating and transforming the area. The interior design draws upon the legacy of the Whitechapel gallery and the melting pot cultures in the surrounding area.
Canopy by Hilton, London City has received a Commendation for City of London – Building of the Year 2022.
